Membership Requirements
Eligible candidates for membership in the Junior League of Birmingham must be proposed and sponsored by a group of four current members of the JLB. You must attend one of the mandatory Candidate Information Meetings held on November 11, 2010 at 11:30 am and 6:30 p.m. or January 13, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the JLB.
Completed membership forms should be turned in at the Junior League of Birmingham's office at 2212 Twentieth Avenue South. Forms will be accepted between the hours of 8:30 am - 4:00 pm beginning Monday, January 3 and continuing through Friday, February 4.
A provisional training course begins August 2011, and will continue through March of the next year. Requirements include volunteer work, meeting attendance, fundraising projects, the payment of annual dues and provisional course fee as well as other obligations.

- You are a female who will be at least 25 before July 1, 2011
- You have a strong interest in community service
- You are seriously committed to volunteer work and are willing to devote significant time and effort as a volunteer
- You are a registered voter
- You have lived in Birmingham, or within a 25-mile radius of Jefferson County, for the past year
